June 28, 2003: I've just discovered both the Wikipedia and the Wiktionary and I'm very excited about them.

About me: I'm an architect in Los Angeles who frequently reads dictionaries for fun. I'm usually disappointed at the brevity of dictionary entries, and I'm hoping that one of the goals of the Wiktionary is to add a little more context to the entries.

I do hope that the capitalization thing can be changed - it reminds me of reading Winnie the Pooh.

I'm a little uncertain about the goal of the project, so I haven't jumped in with both feet. This is intended to be comprehensive, and not just a repository for unusual or difficult words, correct?

Is there a page with pronunciation key guidelines?
